Loft & Roof Insulation Grants
EnergyLink are able to help with grants for the following types of Loft/Roof Insulation:
Loft Insulation
If your home has a traditional loft space accessed by a small hatch, the floor of the loft should be insulated to a depth of 270mm (11 inches). If there is less than 4 inches already installed, you could qualify for a grant to top it up to the required level. Visit our Loft Insulation page for more details.
Room in Roof Insulation
If your loft space has rooms within it that are accessed by a fixed staircase, they could benefit from having the walls and sloping parts of the roof insulated from the inside. Grants are available to cover the entire cost of the work. For further details please see our Room in Roof Insulation page.
Unfortunately, we are unable to help with grants for pitched roof and flat roof insulation at this time. Please check back another time as the grant schemes are constantly changing.
Loft & Roof Insulation Savings
If the heat in your home is escaping from the roof and it has no insulation, you could be losing as much as 25% of the heat generated.
Insulating your loft or the rooms in your roof could save you as much as £150 per year on your heating bills and prevent 800kg of CO2 going into the atmosphere.
